So, Apple Watch, the company's first wearable device, is real, and the company knows how seriously people take fitness devices. That's why Apple has built out a pair of apps: one to monitor your day-to-day activity, and another that'll keep tabs on your more intense workouts. Activity, will, broadly speaking, eliminate the need for a dedicated activity tracker, since it tracks your walking and standing on a daily basis. It'll even give you Jawbone-esque hints to motivate you if you've been sat at your desk for too long. Fitness, meanwhile, is designed for when you're strapping on your sneakers and going off for a run, using the optical heart-rate monitor and your iPhone's GPS and WiFi to track your vital statistics and journeys.
