The latest Netflix original movie is a historical 'war thriller'

Netflix's more serious movie-length productions have typically been documentaries, but the streaming video service is apparently ready to branch out. It just acquired Jadotville, a historical "war thriller" recreating a UN battalion's fight against overwhelming Congolese forces. While you may not be familiar with the events, there will be some star power. Jadotville will star Jamie Dornan (yes, from Fifty Shades of Grey) as Commander Pat Quinlan, and director Richie Smyth built his reputation producing music videos for everyone from The Verve to U2. The movie will be available worldwide in 2016, so you won't have to wait long to see how Netflix recreates a battlefield.
