The most expensive Apple Watch costs upwards of $10,000

There's only one Apple Watch, but the company is happy to sell it to you one of three ways: as the Apple Watch: Sport Edition, Apple Watch, or the Apple Watch: Watch Edition. Confusing names aside, it's the third on the list that has courted the most speculation. Now, the company has revealed that the watch, dressed up in a solid 18-karat gold case with an "exquisitely designed" band will set you back upwards of $10,000. Yup, we're in "if you have to ask, it's too expensive" territory now, folks.

Like its cheaper brethren, the Apple Watch: Watch Edition comes in 38 and 42mm sizes, each one coming with a custom designed band and an "elegant clasp." It won't be available in every store, but instead just a handful of selected retailers. That means either this will only be found in flagship Apple stores, or, more fancifully, will be sold in the sort of high-end fashion outlets where people normally go to buy a $10,000 watch. If you have the sort of cash to splash on a $10,000 watch, pre-orders begin on April 10th, and the hardware will hit stores on April 24th.
