Want a laptop that's even thinner than a MacBook Air? What about one that's available in gold? If your answer to either of the above is yes, then Apple has a new notebook that should be right up your alley. Simply called the "MacBook," it's a 12-inch laptop that's just 13.1mm thin, or 24 percent thinner than the 11-inch MacBook Air. It has a new trackpad with "Force Click" gestures and a redesigned keyboard that should make each button-press feel even crisper. If you live in the UK, by now you're probably wondering how much all of this is going to cost you. Well, here's the skinny: When the new MacBook launches on April 10, the cheapest model will ship with a 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor (with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.4 GHz), 8GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage for £1,049.
Alternatively, you can choose the slightly beefier configuration that boasts a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor (with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.6GHz) 8GB of memory and 512GB of flash storage for £1,299. As with Apple's existing MacBooks though, you'll also be able to upgrade specific components for an additional fee. Once you've decided on the specs, only one question remains: do you want it in gold, silver or space gray?
